This piece of walnut was sustainably harvested six miles from the Folk School and has been air dried for three and a half years! Air dried lumber is preferred for the way it shows a wood’s subtle grain patterns and natural color variations. You may see some naturally subtle silver lines show through with air dried walnut. Makes a gorgeous gift for home cooks!
Lindsey Liden is the Resident Artist in the Woodworking Studio at the John C. Campbell Folk School, he is an instructor, musician and craftsman. Lindsey’s family has lived in the Brasstown area for 7 generations and he continues to call Brasstown home.
- Each wooden item is made by hand from natural materials and will exhibit organic variations in grain or pattern. In some cases, natural “imperfections” in the wood will vary from photo listed and add to the item’s unique character and beauty.
- Available in assorted wood varieties.

- Wash by hand with hot soapy water. Periodically season with food-safe mineral oil or walnut oil.
